Zoom Zoom

This past Sunday, Marsel had his Pinewood Derby for his cub scout pack. First they run against each other with in their own den. They run 3 times each. There are 3 lanes on the track, so they run in each lane once. Then they take the fastest cars from each den and run then against each other. It's a pretty big deal. They weigh the cars, and they have to be within a certain length. Once they've done this, the cars can not be touch again. They get put to the side and the boys don't touch them again.
Marsel cut the car out himself. Joel set him up with the drill, I think. I honestly don't know what it was that they used. But he looked cut. Standing outside with his goggles on working on his car. Gaby helped him with the color scheme. Joel sanded it and they painted it together.
Sooooo, Marsel's car was the fastest in the WHOLE pack. Every race that his car was in, he won. That was pretty cool. Both Joel and Marsel were happy.
They have the district races on the 24th of this month. That's where all the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from all the packs in the area get together and race against each other.
1st place of the whole pack.
Happy boy.

A blurry picture of us.

Marsel's car is the one all the way on the left, closest to the guy in the chair.

I'll post how it goes at districts on April 24th.
