Vizcaya

Biscanye Bay

On Monday Joel and I went to Vizcaya. It's in Coral Gables. It's a house and gardens that was built between 1914 and 1916. We went inside the house also, but we weren't allowed to take any photos. It was so beautiful. And it's crazy how big it is. Then we walked through the gardens, and down by the water. The pictures with the boat in them, are of a stone barge. It was built like that on purpose. Everything was built to look much older than it was. I was bugging the crap out of Joel as we walked through, because I kept saying, can we renew our vows here? He was like ya, sure. It's not cheap to have a wedding there. Anyway, it was beautiful. (Fre, like I told you, when you come to Florida, you have to take our picture there.)
After we left there, we went to the gun range. We both got to shoot our guns for the first time. It was pretty cool. And a very romantic way to spend our anniversary. (Our anniversary was last Thursday when Joel was still gone.) I loved it, it was great to spend time when Joel.
(BTW, I took that picture of the statue because as we walked by, I said to Joel, doesn't it look like he's wiping his butt?)

Chris, these pics are AMAZING. It must run in your family. They look so professional. Are you sure they're not postcards you bought and scanned in? I'm impressed. 143

Very beautiful place! I was thinking the same thing about the photos... very, very nice Chris! I would love to make it back there for the big 5 year anniversary... to hit up the Keys... and if that is the case... I would LOVE to shoot the two of you down there! :)
Love you!
