Tuesday, the 5th was Adrian's 1st birthday. It really has been the fastest year of my life. I asked Joel was it that it really went by fast or was it that he was changing so much that we were able to measure time more easily. Not such which. It doesn't seem so long ago that we brought him home. I am glad to be past the first few months, though. Glad to have a schedule with him.
He's talking up a storm now. He talks in the car while looking out the window. He yells at Marsel if he takes away something he wants. He doesn't have a problem letting us know he's mad. He's exploring everything. Of course he's drawn towards Krypto's and Oreo's cages and food dishes. He's already eaten some of Krypto's food. And he was playing in Oreo's water bowl today. He likes to play peek a boo. But not with your hands. He likes it when you hide behind a wall and pop out at him. He likes it when Marsel chases him or when I'm holding him and we chase Marsel. He just cracks up.
It's been a hell of a year. I'm always amazed how much I love him. How he's only been in my life for a short while, but what a hold he has on my heart.
Joel, thank you for giving me this wonderful gift! Thank you mom for all your help, like Tuesday nights, which are now known as Grandma and Adrian night. Kate, thank you for everything you have done - for loving our son the way you do.

Today on Mommy's Day.... I don't think Marsel and Adrian could ask for a better mommy. When u r about to run out of patience with Marsel, u reach deep down and grab hold of the love that u have for him and find a little more patience! U amaze me everyday! U used to panic when Adrian would cry and now u look at him and know when he's faking! U r a natural! The love u show to ALL ur boys everyday Grows with every min! I consider myself blessed to have such an example of true love, true mothering, and true friendship in my life! Now I really know God put u in my life for a reason! I love u Tut!
