Flyin...

Hope every one had a nice Thanksgiving. Adrian, my mom and I went to Louisiana, to my aunt's house. We left last Saturday morning, early. And we just got back this Friday. Joel and Marsel didn't go b/c Marsel had his 1st boy scout camp out. They had a blast! They're having another one in Jan. So if the weather is good, I'll go. Yeah, I'm not a big camper.
So Adrian was a good flier. He only fussed when he got tired. And that wasn't bad. We chilled for most of the time. On Tues., my aunt wanted to take us to this nice restaurant in Texas, (don't live far from Texas). Adrian was having a rough day. He was hungry, but I couldn't get him to latch on. He just kept biting me. He already has 2 bottom teeth, that are like razors! And he only got worse after lunch when we got back into the car. That's when I saw it... another tooth. He's actually getting the 2 top ones. One was already through the skin, and now the other is too. As soon as we got back to the house and I put the orajel on, w/in 5 sec. he was fine. Just like the little old Adrian. Poor thing, not only was he in pain, but he has a slow mommy. The rest of the trip was good. Thanksgiving dinner was great. We ate outside b/c the weather was so nice. Actually it was warmer than what I was hoping for. I wanted a little bit of a change. And it was warm there. Probably warmer there than it was here. I wish that I had brought shorts.
I have some pictures that I'll post tomorrow. It's late, need to sleep. I forget what it's like to sleep. lol.

Baby Talk

A little talking going on.

Birthday Party

My brother-in-law on Marsel's bday present.
Such a dork.

Marsel opening is presents.

Isabell with Adrian.

Marsel, (yes, that's him.) and his cake.

I'm so behind. His party was last Saturday and I'm just now getting to this post. Better late than never. Everything went well. It was on the small side, which is sometimes better. Especially since it was at our house. He had a few friends over. Food was good, cake was good, and so was the ice cream. He got some cool stuff - it's all over the house. He got so much that he didn't know what to play with. They kept jumping from one thing to the next. He turned 7 and he's already talking about being 8. So funny.
I remember my 7th bday. I had a sleep over, and I think I was getting over being sick. My mom had made chicken noodle soup for me. And cousin, Tonja told my dad that I wasn't eating my worms. (The noodles.)

This was on the News the Other Night..

On the local news channel, they did a segment about a mother who had been kicked out of a doctor's office for breast feeding. Gimme me a break! She was in her doctor's office for a breast feeding problem.  And it was the doctor who told her she couldn't do that in there. He later denied saying anything.
Here's what the lawyer said regarding breast feeding in public: "In Florida, legally, a mother can breastfeed her baby anywhere and does not even have to cover theb breast if she chooses not to. She can breastfeed in a public place or a private building, as long as it's a place the mother is allowed to be, and if someone tries to stop you, call the police."

Maybe because I'm a breast feeding mother, this upsets me. Really- that's what boobies are for!

If it wasn't for the rolls...

I wouldn't be in shape at all. (I'm not round, but I have rolls. Are those even considered a shape?) Early in the week I walked with Adrian around the block. Mainly to get him out of the house and for me to get a bit of exercise. Not much- just a bit. :)  Yesterday I decided I would take him to the park that's close to his day care and walk there before I dropped him off. It's not a huge park, but a good size. So we walked the whole park and I tried (being the key word) to jog a little, I did some squats and lunges.
Yeah, I feel it today. I'm such a wimp! I could feel it in my back, my butt and my hips. We went again today. I tried to do a little more today. And I think I was able to do it a little quicker. I want to keep it up. It's good for Adrian to get out and it's very good for me. He seems to like being outside. He doesn't like the sun in his eyes, but who does. Today he talked to me a little and played with his feet.
Maybe soon I work in some ankle weights and some crunches. Do want to rush it though. lol!

How Stupid Are We?

So the kids are in bed, and Joel and I sitting here watching the coverage on the election, just talking about this and that. I'm sitting in my usually spot on the couch and he in his on the love seat. Oreo, (the big dog) is holding down the other end of the couch. Krypto, (the little one) is sitting in my lap sleeping. Joel looks over at us and says that Krypto is sitting on my phone. And my stupid self says, "OOOH, call my phone, it's on vibrate." Before he can make the call, I'm already laughing, but I'm trying to hold it. Which is so not working.  Joel let it ring once, and Krypto's little head whipped around to look at his butt. Joel tells me, wait, to stop laughing. Yeah right. Ok, ok. I stop laughing for like a second. Then I start again. When he called again Krypto flew up off my lap. So funny. Krypto got up and went over to Joel and he says to him, "What did mommy do to you?"
It doesn't take much to amuse me.
As I'm writing this Joel asks me if Krypto is still on my phone. So we did it 2 more times. Then Krypto got up and left. He's had enough. Then I look to Oreo and say, let's do Oreo. I slide it under his hip and give him some love. Then I slide back, b/c if he jumps up he could hurt me. Oreo's all chill, relaxing. Then Joel does it and Oreo jumped up. I mean jumped up! Turned and looked under his butt. He too, then got up and left.
Me posting this is mainly to say how much I love Joel. How he thinks the same things are funny as I do. And how much he makes me laugh.
 Thank you for that, baby.
